Stitches Acute Care Center Receives Certified Urgent Care Designation

November, 2017

Press Release

Stitches Acute Care Center’s in Cheyenne and in Laramie have both received the Certified Urgent Care designation by the Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA).

With the certification, Stitches Acute Care Center’s are distinguished by their choices, processes, and practices, indicating that the clinics have met all of the UCAOA’s established criteria, and provide patients with walk-in, extended-hour medical attention with licensed providers for a large scope of medical conditions. With the constantly changing health care environment, it is more important than ever for patients to understand all of their treatment options. With this designation, Stitches Acute Care clinics and UCAOA demonstrate their commitment toward providing patients with access to appropriate levels of care.

“We are here to mend our patient’s health with compassion and empathy, utilizing best practices and innovation. Receiving this certification is yet another best practice for us and ultimately, our patients.”

Urgent care fills the gap between primary care physicians and emergency rooms, and offers convenience and cost savings. With two convenient locations, Stitches Acute Care accepts walk-in patients, offers convenient online check-in and also offers telemedicine for patients to virtually see a provider from anywhere in Wyoming seven days a week.

If a patient is unable to wait for an appointment with their primary care provider or does not have one, Stitches Acute Care Center is equipped with x-ray, laboratory services and licensed providers who are available to care for urgent medical conditions such as unexpected cuts, burns, sprains, or fractures and can also perform minor procedures like casting and suturing. Stitches providers can also diagnose and treat minor illnesses or conditions.
