Herlly Camacho, FNP-C

Herlly was born and raised in Colombia. She graduated medical school from University of Antioquia. She practiced medicine in Medellín for three and a half years before moving to Miami.
In addition to practicing medicine, Herlly has worked as an instructor at Miami-Dade College, the nation’s largest community college.  She taught anatomy and physiology, and managed the simulation lab for EMT/Paramedic, Nursing and PA students in the course of their training.
Fluent in both Spanish and English, Herlly graduated from Florida International University and is a recent addition to Cheyenne’s community. She loves the wide open spaces and majestic scenery of Wyoming and the down-to-earth attitude its residents.

Joslyn Thompson, DNP, FNP-C 

Joslyn is a Wyoming native. She is a graduate of the University of Wyoming and received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree while there. Joslyn is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and American Nurses Credentialing Center. Her career has consisted of caring for others in various realms of medicine with ten plus years in acute care centers.  Joslyn is thrilled to be a part of Stitches Acute Care team and strives to provide her patients with the highest quality of care.

Michael Sprosty PA-C

Graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and the military’s Interservice Physician Assistant Program in December 2010. Michael has been in the military service since January 2004 and is currently in the Wyoming Army National Guard. He has had one deployment to Afghanistan as a Physician Assistant with the 10th Mountain Division out of Fort Drum, NY.  Family Medicine was Michael’s primary focus of training but he also loves Emergency Medicine, Trauma Medicine, and Acute Care. He is a husband and father of four amazing children.

William (Tom) T. Carter III FNP-C

Tom has been in nursing since 2003 and has been working as a Nurse Practitioner for the last seven years in the urgent/acute care setting as well as in the Emergency Room. He started his career working telemetry in Greeley, Colorado, shortly thereafter, accepting a full-time position in the Emergency Room at CRMC. Tom worked as a staff nurse, and was then promoted to charge nurse. With encouragement of several ED physicians, Tom returned to school and obtained his Masters in Nursing from the University of Wyoming. Tom grew up in Laramie where he graduated from Laramie High and then UW. After living in several other states and several towns in Wyoming, he returned to SW Wyoming in 2001.Currently, Tom is serving a 3 year appointment to the University of Wyoming Faye Whitney School of Nursing as Adjunct Faculty. Tom enjoys outdoor activities; hunting, fishing, camping, dirt bikes. 


Amy Surdam, FNP-C, Business Development

Amy has proudly lived in Cheyenne, Wyoming since age 11. She graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1996 with a BSN, and in 2004 with a MSN. She serves in the Wyoming Army National Guard as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Amy’s talent and passion lies in strategic planning, public relations, public speaking, leadership, connecting people together, and making a difference. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running, and creating a better tomorrow.

Dan Surdam, MD, Owner

Dr. Surdam was born and raised in Laramie, Wyoming. He graduated from Colorado College in 1997 and Creighton Medical School in 2002. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX. He served at the Medical Director of the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Emergency Department and the Operations Manager of Cheyenne Regional Urgent Care for many years and was previous owner of Frontier Emergency Physicians. Dr. Surdam has owned a billing company and several urgent care centers in Wyoming and Texas. He is a true entrepreneur with a desire to help Wyoming and its people gain better access to quality, affordable healthcare. Dr. Surdam enjoys golf, fishing, travel, and spending time with his family, especially his beautiful wife.

Stacey Cook, Practice Administrator

Stacey has a deep passion for caring for others and has held many clinical positions where she has been able to make a difference in people’s lives.  After two years as a police, fire and emergency dispatcher, she moved to Cheyenne to work for the ambulance service and then furthered her medical career in the Emergency Department at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Stacey is now very excited to be the Practice Administrator for both Stitches Acute Care locations, and looks forward to ensuring that the Laramie and Cheyenne communities have a wonderful experience being cared for at Stitches. Stacey was named 2017’s Wyoming Business Report Wyoming Woman of Influence in Healthcare.
