Courtney Gordon MS, PA-C

Chris Morgan, PA-C

Chris was born and raised in West Virginia and has lived in Wyoming for 20 years. He served as a medic, artilleryman and PA in the Army National Guard before retiring. Chris completed PA school through the military while earning both Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Nebraska. He has two beautiful daughters and loves fishing.

Shawn Rockey, MCHS, MS, PA-C

Shawn is a Wyoming native who enjoys serving Laramie and the surrounding area. He received a BS in Kinesiology and Health Promotion and MS degree with an emphasis in Clinical Exercise Physiology from the University of Wyoming. He briefly left Laramie to attend the University of Washington MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant Training program and completed a Master of Clinical Health Science degree. When not in the clinic Shawn enjoys spending time in the mountains, fly fishing, hunting, staying active, and being with family and friends.

Amy Surdam, FNP-C, Business Development

Amy has proudly lived in Cheyenne, Wyoming since age 11. She graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1996 with a BSN, and in 2004 with a MSN. She serves in the Wyoming Army National Guard as a Family Nurse Practitioner. With a few interesting twists in life, she is now the Aeronautics Administrator for the State Of Wyoming. Amy’s talent and passion lies in strategic planning, public relations, public speaking, leadership, connecting people together, and making a difference. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running, and creating a better tomorrow.

Dan Surdam, MD, Owner

Dr. Surdam was born and raised in Laramie, Wyoming. He graduated from Colorado College in 1997 and Creighton Medical School in 2002. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX. He served at the Medical Director of the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center Emergency Department and the Operations Manager of Cheyenne Regional Urgent Care for many years and was previous owner of Frontier Emergency Physicians. Dr. Surdam has owned a billing company and several urgent care centers in Wyoming and Texas. He is a true entrepreneur with a desire to help Wyoming and its people gain better access to quality, affordable healthcare. Dr. Surdam enjoys golf, fishing, travel, and spending time with his family, especially his beautiful wife.

Stacey Cook, Practice Administrator

Stacey has a deep passion for caring for others and has held many clinical positions where she has been able to make a difference in people’s lives.  After two years as a police, fire and emergency dispatcher, she moved to Cheyenne to work for the ambulance service and then furthered her medical career in the Emergency Department at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Stacey is now very excited to be the Practice Administrator for both Stitches Acute Care locations, and looks forward to ensuring that the Laramie and Cheyenne communities have a wonderful experience being cared for at Stitches. Stacey was named 2017’s Wyoming Business Report Wyoming Woman of Influence in Healthcare.
